Welcome to our 2015 holidays.

Welcome to our 2015 holidays, which we hope you enjoy reading.

We have compiled a super programme for next year, starting with a new holiday in Amsterdam, visiting the Concertgebouw, the Dutch National Opera and 2 concerts in nearby Weesp at the chamber music festival of our friends the Navarra Quartet. Other new holidays include “Les Arts Florissants Garden Festival” based in William Christie’s garden in the Vendée in France and a trip to Copenhagen in September. We are also planning, after a few years absence, to return to Aix-en-Provence, “Le Festival International d’Art Lyrique”, one of Europe’s most important opera festivals. Our own festivals this year start with “Chamber Music in Canterbury”, where we have the Navarra Quartet, Lora Dimitrova piano and Daniel Broncano clarinet, followed by “Schubertiade en Bugey”, exquisite French home cooking and fabulous music with the Heath Quartet, Hannah Roberts cello, Finghin Collins piano,  Jonathan Rimmer flute and James Gilchrist tenor.

John, Helen or Richard will accompany our groups on all of the holidays to ensure that everything runs as smoothly as possible. We normally have some sightseeing with well chosen local guides but this varies according to where we are. Some holidays are quite busy, others are very relaxed and of course nothing on the schedule is compulsory! It is our policy to give guests plenty of free time.
Although the holiday arrangements are made by us, we work in association with Specialised Travel Limited and are fully covered by its membership of ABTA and ATOL.

We hope you will join us!

With best wishes,
    John, Helen and Richard Whibley,
Catherine Hart and our new office manager Jo Orme.
